Mirroring Displays

Another setting that is a default on the MacBook Air's is the extended display.  When connected to a projector, TV or external monitor, the display is of a second monitor, NOT what you see on your screen (fig 1).  This is a feature that some people prefer and others do not.  Here are the steps to disable it.

  1. Click on the  and select "System Preferences" (fig 2)
  2. Select "Display". (fig 3)
  3. Select the middle tab "Arrangement" (fig 4)
  4. Place a check mark in "Mirror Displays" (fig 5)

VIOLA!!!  What is on your screen is now on the projector, TV or external monitor.  If you experience any difficulties, please contact the HelpDesk at 671-4444.
