Another setting that is a default on the MacBook Air's is the extended display. When connected to a projector, TV or external monitor, the display is of a second monitor, NOT what you see on your screen (fig 1). This is a feature that some people prefer and others do not. Here are the steps to disable it.
- Click on the and select "System Preferences" (fig 2)
- Select "Display". (fig 3)
- Select the middle tab "Arrangement" (fig 4)
- Place a check mark in "Mirror Displays" (fig 5)
